Sports Correspondent|Barcelona will host Real Madrid in the first LaLiga El Clasico of the season on Sunday, 25 October at Spotify Camp Nou.
Kick-off is at 22:00 local time – 15:00 EST and 19:00 GMT.
Hansi Flick’s Barcelona are flying. They are top of LaLiga with a perfect nine wins from nine, six points clear of Real Madrid, and can become the first side in Spanish history to win their opening 10 league matches.
They return to Camp Nou after a reality check in Europe, a 4-2 defeat to champions PSG on Tuesday, but their home form is formidable. Barcelona have won their last 23 LaLiga matches at home.
Barcelona have scored 15 goals in their last five matches in all competitions, including wins at Sevilla 1-3, at home to Getafe 3-0, away to Galatasaray 1-4 and away to Real Betis 2-5.
Injury concerns for Flick include Dani Olmo, who picked up a muscle injury against PSG and is out for around a month, Eric Garcia, Jules Kounde, who is a doubt, and Roony Bardghji.
It will be Jose Mourinho’s first El Clasico in 13 years in his second stint as Real Madrid boss. After a patchy start, Los Blancos are starting to purr.
Real have scored four goals in each of their last three games, including a 4-1 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday. They have won four of their last five, with the only defeat a 2-1 loss to Atletico Madrid.
Mourinho is unbeaten in his last five Clasicos as Real Madrid manager, but his side have yet to keep a clean sheet away from home this season, and have not kept a clean sheet against Barcelona in 12 meetings.
Madrid will be without suspended star Vinicius Junior and injured defender Raul Asencio.
Barcelona (4-2-3-1): J. Garcia; Cancelo, Cubarsi, Espart, G. Martin; Pedri, F. Lopez; L. Yamal, Rodri, Adeyemi; G. Jesus
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Courtois; Valverde, Huijsen, Konate, Cucurella; Tchouameni, Bellingham; Guler, Diomande, Endrick; Mbappe
Head-to-head and standings
Barcelona have dominated recent Clasicos, winning four of the last five, including a 2-0 win at Camp Nou on 10 May 2026, plus victories in the Super Cup 3-2 and Copa del Rey 3-2. Real’s only win in that run was 2-1 at the Bernabeu in October 2025.
