The Secretary General of the Central Committee Jean Nkuété has kicked off a working tour to oversee the installation of newly appointed Heads of Permanent Regional and Divisional Delegations across the country.

The Party is gearing up for crucial elections expected in October this year. This phase in its organizational restruc-

turing is aimed at bolstering the party’s grassroots presence ahead of the presidential elections. On April 22, Nkuété was in Bertoua in the East region, a strategic move given the recent emergence of dissident voices that have sparked divided opinions within the region. This visit is expected to reinforce party unity and ensure a cohesive ap- proach in the upcoming electoral process.

The tour, which will also take the Secretary General to Bafoussam on April 24, Ngaoundere on April 28, and Yaounde on April 30, demonstrates the party’s commitment to strengthening its structures and preparing for the challenges ahead. By empowering Heads of Permanent Regional Delegations to proceed with installations in their respective areas, the CPDM is fos- tering a sense of ownership and responsibility among its regional leaders.

This exercise is particularly pertinent as the country approaches the presidential elections. By rejuvenating its leadership and solidifying its regional presence, the CPDM is positioning itself for a strong showing at the polls.
